Monthly Wellness Screenings
CCMH offers low-cost Wellness Screening Clinics at the hospital at least once a month from 6:30-8:00 a.m. The screening includes numerous blood tests, such as:
- complete blood count
- blood sugar
- kidney function
- liver function
- cholesterol
- electrolytes
A 12-hour fast is required prior to the blood tests.
The screening also includes an assessment of your height, weight and blood pressure. Additionally, individuals have the option of paying for screens for prostate cancer or thyroid testing. Because the clinic provides screening tests only, insurance is not billed. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling 265-2501.
Community Outreach
The hospital understands it's difficult for persons living in communities outside of Denison to take advantage of the monthly wellness clinics due to work and travel constraints. Therefore, the hospital provides the same low-cost screenings once a year off site at the hospital's Medical Clinic location in Charter Oak. These special clinics are usually held during the months of September and October.
Clinics for Businesses
The hospital regularly provides special Wellness Programs or Clinics for businesses and large groups throughout Crawford County. The hospital can tailor the clinic to include screening tests that best meet the needs of the business owner or group. The clinic will be administered on-site at the business or location of the group's choice. There must be a minimum of 15 individuals participating.
